Welcome to the Madison Modern Quilt Guild!

Hello!  I'm Leigh of Sleepytime Sewing and I've been watching with jealousy as cities all around the world get their very own branch of the Modern Quilt Guild.  Madison is an awesome town with so many amazingly talented people, I know that we've got the makings of an incredible group!

We're in the very very beginning stages of getting this thing off the ground, so please post here or email me if you're interested in helping out or would just like to be kept up to date on any developments.  An easy way to stay in touch would be to follow this blog in your reader.  Any meetings or events will be posted here!

I'd love to hear from you!  Let me know what YOU want from "MadMod"!

  1. Yes, I'm interested in helping! I am with you, full of envy at seeing all the other cities with cool guilds, hanging out together to talk about sewing and working on cool projects. Let me know what I can do!

  2. Hi,
Thanks for the opportunity to start off the new year with a group of modern quilters. I am new at quilting and can offer a meeting space here in Madison at no cost based on day & time of couse.

  3. I'd love to see this get going. I think we should create a roster of each person's sites and perhaps their main interests (so their Flickr site, blog address, etc). I'd love to see us combine the electronic sharing with some in-person meetings in the Madison area. Even just a few of us could start this out and see where it goes.

  4. I'd be interested in being a part of a Madison MQG. I blog at www.thisishappystuff.com and my flickr handle is "carissaabc." Although I'm currently on a baby-clothes making kick and quilts have taken a bit of a back seat, I'm still interested in modern quilting and would love to meet with like-minded crafters.

  5. I'm interested in helping. Are any of you going to attend the Quilt Expo in September? Maybe we can meet up there?
